The project involved the preparation of construction plans for a 110 car unit train grain unloading track, a DDGS load out and an ethanol loading yard. The project involved the receipt of a 110 car unit train with three locomotives on the front end and provided a runaround and storage track for the locomotives. The train was broken into 27-28 car strings and shifted between the two tracks through the unload pit. The project was constrained on the west end by an existing over ground pipeline and an access road to the power plant on the east that limited the length of the yard tracks and prevented a loop track facility. Involved coordination between the Port, BNSF and the Portland and Western Railroad. Responsible for construction oversight of rail contractor.
